Aisling Bea

Aisling is an Irish-born comedian, who's been performing for some time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. The comedian has appeared on QI along as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea, is a popular Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea was first able to make a name for herself as a stand-up comedian in 2011 after playing small roles she appeared for Irish and British television dramas starting in 2009. The comedian began to appear regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms from 2012. In 2012, she began appearing in panel shows following her win of an award from The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is an extremely popular contestant on the show's spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. In 2012, she was the second woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny Award. She uses the surnamed Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is a Kildare born woman. She was born the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who committed suicide when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she turned thirteen. In honor of the man she loved, Bea took the stage name Bea and in 2017 she wrote an article on suicides that affected the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were raised in a home by Helen Moloney, who was a school educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a child a tour guide for the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she didn't want the racing industry. Instead she loved the performance arts.
